The BRIDGE Program
Program Background
The Washington State University College of Business welcomes international students from over 100 different countries. We have 1,115 international students, ranking WSU international student population among the top schools in the Pacific Northwest. The BRIDGE program was established to help new and current international students to connect with local WSU students. International students come to the United States just days before the semester begins. Once students arrive they experience culture shock, loneliness, and academic stress.
BRIDGE Program's function
New international students are paired with experienced WSU students to participate in various activities throughout the semester. International partners learn about WSU, the Pullman community, and share different cultural customs with their BRIDGE partner who also benefits from the partnership by learning about cultures, customs, values and traditions from around the world.
